WizardCon is classified as an "arena" and thus firearms are not allowed. This even applies if you are a CPL holder. Individuals caught with a firearm will be asked to leave the convention. This is not any kind of political stance, this policy was reached after talking to both the Michigan State Police and local police about our event, and what they / Michigan classify the event as.There are however the following exceptions.
FIREARM POLICY EXEMPTION
1: Off duty State and local law enforcement.
2: If seen / noticed with a firearm, we will ask you for law enforcement ID.
3: Refusal to show ID will result in your being asked to leave the event.
AIRSOFT / COSPLAY
Those participating in Cosplay may bring airsoft / replica weapons as part of their costume. However the following rules apply.
1: Airsoft replicas cannot have a battery in them.
2: Magazines cannot have bb's or pellets in them.
3: Airsoft replicas MUST have an ornge tip, we will have orange tape on hand if needed.
4: Please no pointing your replica at anyone.
This is a tabletop game convention, with Role Playing Games, Board games, card games, demos, vendors selling all manner of cool gaming goods.
We also are having contests, raffles and an awesome movie prop showcase, displaying props from Star Wars, Aliens, Star Trek and more.
